The provincial task force for missing and murdered exploited persons is requesting help from the public in gathering new information pertaining to the death of Crystal Saunders.

12 years ago this week, Saunders went missing. Last seen in the late evening on April 18, 2007 in Winnipeg's West End, her body was found the next day near St. Ambroise, MB.

At the time of her death, Saunders was 24 years old. The community of St. Ambroise is located about 100 kilometers northwest of Winnipeg.

The RCMP task force, Project Devote, hopes some new information may arise to assist with the homicide investigation.

“This week marks 12 years since Crystal was murdered and investigators are asking anyone who may have seen Crystal the evening of her disappearance in Winnipeg, or recalls seeing something concerning or out place near the community of St. Ambroise, to contact Project Devote” said Cpl. Julie Courchaine of the Manitoba RCMP.

"If you live in the area of St. Ambroise, please be aware that Winnipeg Police Service and RCMP investigators from Project Devote will be conducting enquiries throughout the week. It is their hope that someone from the community may have critical information that could help further the investigation.”

Anyone who may have information pertaining to Saunders' death or the investigation is asked to contact Project Devote at 1-888-673-3316 or Manitoba Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
