Members of the Homicide Unit in Winnipeg conducted a lengthy investigation and identified two suspects involved in a murder that happened in March. 

On March 10, 2021, at 7:15 a.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the area of Stella Avenue and McGregor Street for a report that possible human remains had been found.
 
Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the human remains of a deceased individual had been located. A post-mortem examination identified the victim as 28-year-old Michael Dwayne Gunnar Dahlin, of Winnipeg.

On November 30, 2022, homicide detectives attended the Stony Mountain Institution and the Milner Ridge Correctional Centre, where the suspects were being held. Both suspects were placed under arrest without incident.
 
Matthew Andrew Miles, 32, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Second Degree Murder.
 
Thomas Wayne Peebles, 31, of Winnipeg, has been charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder.
 
Both remain in custody, and no further arrests are expected.
