Three young seminary students are home after their release from captivity on Friday.

Four Catholic seminary students were captured by gunpoint while at school in early January.

The young men were students at Good Shepherd Major Seminary in Kaduna, Nigeria.

On Friday, the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria posted that three of the missing four men were released and found.

"With joy, the Formators, Staff and Seminarians of Good Shepherd Major Seminary, Kaduna, Kaduna State, announce the safe release of 3 of our Seminarians by their captors," the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria says.

The fourth man, Nnadi Michael, was later found dead.

"May the soul of our Brother Nnadi Michael and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace with the Lord."

The Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria is asking others to pray for Nigeria as they continue to experience "great distress."
