Three 16-year-old boys are in hospital after fighting in a Winnipeg grocery store.

Major Crimes Unit investigators are hoping to speak with any customers or employees that may have witnessed the altercation inside the Tyndall Square Safeway at 850 Keewatin Street.

On February 11, 2020, at approximately 6:54 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a grocery store in the 800 block of Keewatin Street in regards to the report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located two injured 16-year-old males. Both were transported to the hospital in critical condition and have since been upgraded to stable condition. A third 16-year-old male attended to the hospital on his own with stab wound injuries and has since been upgraded to stable condition.

Preliminary investigation indicates that an altercation occurred amongst several males, at which time pepper spray was discharged, and the three males were stabbed.
