Norway House RCMP are investigating the homicide of a young man.

Norway House RCMP responded to a call of an unresponsive male in a wooded area of the community on October 26, at approximately 10:30 a.m.

"Officers attended and located an unresponsive 27-year-old male," says RCMP.

RCMP assisted EMS personnel in transporting the victim to the hospital where he was then pronounced deceased.

Two days later, a 31-year-old man of Norway House was arrested and charged with Manslaughter in relation to the death on Saturday. 

The suspect was remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in Thompson Provincial court on Tuesday, October 29.

The homicide investigation continues with members of the Norway House RCMP along with the RCMP Major Crime Unit.

Norway House is approximately 455 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
