Winnipeggers and much of southeast Manitobans can expect some great end of summer weather this weekend.

"We've already seen warmer than normal temperatures on Thursday," Natalie Hassel from Environment Canada says, with a high of 22 degrees reached and normal highs being 20 degrees. And it's only going to get better.

"We see temperatures increasing to be really quite warm, especially by the time we get to Sunday in the forecast."

Sunshine is forecast for the entire weekend and will continue to heat up through the weekend with a high of 23 on Friday, 25 on Saturday, and 30 on Sunday.

It's the perfect weekend to get outside for some fun with the family, or getting some of those chores done around the house that never quite got finished (or started) this summer.
