Cooped up Manitobans would do well to get outside and enjoy some mild temperatures at the start of the week, as extreme cold warnings are a very real possibility yet again for later this week.

Cloud cover and light periods of snow are a possibility for Monday through Wednesday, with high humidity as well. Daytime highs are expected to hover between -6 on Monday to -3 on Wednesday. That's well above the average daytime high of -11 for the start of February.

There won't be much change overnight at the start of the week either, with lows around -9 to -6. The average low is -21.5, and things will certainly start to become much more average, or below average, later in the week, however.

Temperatures begin to drop on Thursday with a high of -12, and an overnight low that evening of -20.

There will be lots of sunshine pushing into the province by the weekend, bringing with it very cold temperatures once again.

Saturday and Sunday will have highs around -25, and overnight the lows will dip down to somewhere in the -27 to -32 range according to the current forecast.
