As the world's largest and longest-running multicultural festival of it's kind, a Winnipeg woman knew she could expect great things again this year.

Anji Bulsara, 24, decided to travel the world Monday afternoon, taking in three pavilions in a matter of hours.

"It was super fun!" Bulsara raved. She first attended Celtic Ireland (Pavilion 4), followed by a visit to the Carribean (2), and concluded the day by experiencing India (12).

"Meeting new people, seeing all these performers, and just taking in all the culture from what we have in Winnipeg is just amazing," shared Bulsara, who was thrilled with her experiences.

She recommends the Indian pavilion highly, especially for its cuisine. In addition, a Celtic river dancer and Carribean fire-limbo were notable highlights of the day.

To anyone considering attending Folklorama this year, she advises you to take the plunge and try a new experience. "Don't get overwhelmed... you're there to see a show and if you can meet new people, go for it." She also suggested speaking to performers from the various pavilions to hear a different perspective on the cultures being represented.

You can experience a world of culture through Folklorama in Winnipeg until August 19, 2017.
