A new documentary explores a filmmaker's Mennonite roots.

Paul Plett is the director of I Am A Mennonite. Plett grew up overseas in Africa where his parents worked with Mennonite Central Committee. He says he has always strongly connected to his Mennonite roots, and when making another film about Mennonite farmers from seven different parts of the world he decided he wanted to explore those roots more.

The film looks at what it used to mean to be Mennonite, what it means to be a Mennonite now to a variety of followers, and what it will mean in the future.
