Officers responded to a report of an injured male near an apartment complex in the 500 block of Ellice avenue at around 3:20 a.m.
He was taken to hospital in unstable condition
As a result, westbound Ellice Avenue is closed between Furby and Young Streets.
There is no word as to how long police are expected to remain on scene.
