The Northern Lights were the star of the show across Manitoba skies last night and are expected to make an appearance again tonight.

People posted pictures from all over Manitoba, including Dauphin, Lac du Bonnet, Bird's Hill, Brandon, and even in Winnipeg where the light pollution usually makes it hard to see the lights.

Angela Hansen shared that it was her daughter's 12th birthday on Thursday and collectively they have been longing to see the Northern Lights for a few years now.

"She said to me 'God gave me the best birthday present ever for my 12th birthday!' God is so good!!!"
