Jordan St. Cyr has been enjoying a pretty great 2017, which was just added to on Tuesday with another chance for an award.

St. Cyr has been picking up awards this year, recently winning the National Rising Star contest in Nashville. The contest runs for 12 weeks every year and is based on audience votes.

On Tuesday, St. Cyr found out that he was also a Finalist for the 2017 UnsignedOnly Music Competition.  As the name suggests, it's a music contest for unsigned artists only, so they have a chance to compete against each other, rather than against major record label bands. Not only is he a finalist, but two of his songs made it in. Victory and In My Lifetime both made it to the final, both in the Christian category.

"My chances, I think, are pretty good," St. Cyr said. He will find out if he won next month.

"It really just opens doors," St. Cyr said about the success he has been having. "It has created relationships with people who are a lot further down the road than I am."

You can catch Jordan's new single, Victory, on CHVN 95.1fm, both on the radio and online at www.chvnradio.com.
