Canadian worship leader, Brooke Nicholls is making her way across Canada while making two stops in Manitoba where she is expecting to meet with the Spirit of God.

"I always love that when we gather to worship, we have this opportunity to encounter Him and meet with Him," Nicholls says. "Whatever is that you need, all of that can be found in the presence of God."

While Nicholls knows that big decisions are sometimes what God uses to confirm things in life, as she has seen in her own life. Remembering when she was at a conference last fall and one of the speakers was sharing about when she had a stroke which caused her not to be able to speak. "What she was saying was so moving to me and she just looked across the room and said 'You can do hard things. You might not realize it, but you can.'"

Hearing the speaker share that really encouraged Nicholls who wanted to expand her family and have another baby. "I'm just breaking down because I always wondered how will I tour and do this with another baby? It's already so hard, and the Lord just confirmed in my spirit that day, that I can do hard things, but not on my own strength."

Now getting to encourage others through her own music, Nicholls is excited to be on the road heading across the country, but she's not going alone. "I heard Jaidyn lead worship a year ago and I knew this girl has a call on her life. There was something special that God wants to do in and through her, and when I was thinking about openers, the Lord just dropped her into my heart."

Nicholls and Jaidyn are also going to be joined by Portage la Prairie's, Jake Fretz. "He's such a great songwriter. He's a gifted singer and player, but he's also like just a real lover of Jesus and a great worshipper. And that's what I wanted for this tour. And so I think with all these components, it's just going to be a really special night.

Nicholls is excited to see how God moves and although it's her biggest tour to date, "the whole purpose of this is for people to come and meet with Jesus. I say that a lot, but that's generally all I care about, it's not a show for me. It's not a come and hear my songs, like I don't really care about that. I just want people to sing the words that glorify the Lord."

Nicholls is going to be at Prairie Alliance Church in Portage la Prairie on May 22 at 7 p.m. You can get tickets for that show here.
