A large warehouse at an airport in Churchill, Manitoba, caught fire and became what the town's fire chief described as "probably the biggest fire'' he's ever fought.

EJ MacCuaig, chief of the volunteer fire department, says the fire started about 8 am on January 22, 2020.

He says it was clear when firefighters arrived that the blaze hadn't been burning for long.

MacCuaig says strong winds helped to feed the fire.
