A grader operator was in the right place at the right time after discovering several puppies on the side of the road in the Rural Municipality of Reynolds last week.

The purebred golden retrievers were discovered last Friday at around 11 a.m. on the side of the road on Highway 308 near Highway 503.

The grader operator contacted Falcon Beach RCMP and was able to catch three of the puppies.

From there, officers contacted K9 Advocates Manitoba and began searching the area, along with Rural Animal Management Services (RAMS) and local community members. Seven additional dogs were located.

The puppies were found shivering but are in overall good health.
