Fire crews had a busy 10 hours as they fought four different house fires in Winnipeg.

Their busy ten hours began at 11:23 p.m. on Sunday when they received reports of a two-story home catching fire. WFPS crews arrived to the 600 block of Anges Street home to find heavy smoke and flames escaping out of the building. Crews began to battle the fire, declaring it under control at 12:21 a.m.

All household members self-evacuated before crews arrived. There are no injuries being reported.

The WFPS says the home underwent significant fire, smoke, and water damage. They believe the home will be a total loss.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Early Monday morning, at 1:50 a.m, crews were called to the William Whyte neighbourhood. A  two-and-a-half storey duplex in the 300 block of Alfred Avenue was found with heavy flames and smoke pouring out of it.

Crews set to work fighting the fire, declaring it under control at 2:14 a.m. Once it was safe to do so, firefighters searched the building for occupants but found the building unoccupied.

At 4:11 a.m. crews were called back to the site, as a fire watch on-scene discovered a hot spot that had reignited. Crews "knocked down" the fire at 4:32 a.m.

There are no injuries from this fire and the WFPS says the cause of the fire is under investigation.

At 3:36, at the 100 block of Disraeli Street, a third house fire broke out. When arriving, crews saw that the home was entirely engulfed in flames.

The house's occupants had already escaped from the home through a window before crews arrived.

Crews began a defensive attack until conditions improved. Once it was safe to do so, they entered the home and began fighting offensively.

At 6:24 a.m. a fire watch discovered the home begin to smoke again, and crews arrived to extinguish the hot spots.

No injuries are being reported from this fire.

The WFPS believes the fire was accidental due to the ' careless disposal of a cigarette butt."

At 8:13 a.m. crews were called to a single-family Bungalow in the 600 block of Harbison Avenue East. A small deck that was attached to the home had caught fire, threatening the attached residence.

No injuries are being reported from this fire.

The fire, believed to have been started accidentally by careless disposal of a cigarette butt, was quickly extinguished.
