A Winnipeg man has been charged following a collision with a pedestrian in May.
Emergency workers responded just before 11:30 p.m. on May 15 about a hit and run in the 1500 block of Portage Avenue. The Winnipeg Police Service says a woman was found suffering from serious injuries. She was transported to hospital in critical condidtion and was later upgraded to stable condition.
Police say that a few hours later, at 1:10 a.m., a person flagged down police in downtwon Winnipeg. An adult male turned himself in to the officers and was placed under arrest.
This week the WPS says they arrested a 21-year-old man on September 23 for failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
The man was released on a promise to appear.
