Brian "Head" Welch has announced a series of wellness centres will be opening to help people "function at their best."

The wellness centres, called Zivel, will be performance and recovery suites to help people find healing through services such as saltwater floating, infrared sauna, oxygen therapy, and cryotherapy, the Christian Post reports.

Welch is a member of Korn, a popular rock band, and an evangelist. He is a recovering drug addict receiving therapy similar to that which will be offered at the new centres. He has also found support through his faith in overcoming his addiction.

"In 2005, I found healing after years of struggling with addiction, depression, and suicidal ideation," Welch says.

"I consider myself extremely blessed to have been made whole — body, mind and spirit — and I've devoted my life to help others find the healing they deserve."

Welch says he is excited about Zivel's services helping to rejuvenate the entire person, which he says he feels is his life's purpose.

The facilities, developed by Welch with Dr. Matt O'Neill, have opened locations in California, Tennessee, and Florida. Further locations are planned for Texas, Georgia, Washington State, and Arizona, with an additional Flordia location also in the works.

O'Neill is a physical therapist who Welch met in 2017 when O'Neill was the doctor that went on tour with the band.

Welch says the goal is to open locations in every state and around the world to help people of all ages.

"Zivel is more than just another spa offering, it is a way of life, where we truly believe that everyone should be treated and feel like a rock star," says Welch.
