Everyone is safe after a house fire in the North End on Saturday evening. 

The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service (WFPS) responded to reports of a fire in a two-storey single family home in the 300 block of St. Johns Avenue at 5:42 p.m.

By the time firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from the eaves of the home. Emergency crews were able to launch an offensive attack. The fire was declared under control at 6:00 p.m.

The City of Winnipeg says in a release that everyone in the home was able to get out before firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. No damage estimates are available at this time.
