A file called The Jesus Music, featuring Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant, as well as many other artists is set to be released in the fall of 2021.

"A lot of hymns are close-your-eyes singing to God, I wanted to sing with my eyes wide open, singing to each other," Amy Grant shares on her Facebook page with the movie's trailer.

Grant was recently included in the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame Class of 2021.

The film is shot as a documentary with many mini videos and stories along the way.

It includes newer CCM artists such as For King & Country, Natalie Grant, Hillsong United, Lecrae, and Kari Jobe. It also has Christian artists that have lasted throughout the past couple of decades, including Newsboys, Steven Curtis Chapman, Chris Tomlin, and TobyMac to name a few.

Gospel artist, Kirk Franklin shared the trailer on his social media as well, and says, "What drove me in life was being light."

The film shows the foundations of the Christian movement and music with artists like Stryper, Rez Band, and 2nd Chapter of Acts.

"Let's not forget, music is God's idea," says Chris Tomlin in the trailer for the movie.

The Jesus Music will be in theatres on October 1, 2021.
