UPDATE: A fog advisory covering much of southern Manitoba, including the city of Winnipeg, has been lifted.

After a soggy weekend, much of southern Manitoba is waking up to a foggy morning. 

Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory for southern Manitoba, the Interlake and the City of Winnipeg.

An extensive area of low visibility in mist and fog developed overnight across much of southern Manitoba and is expected to stick around Monday morning. 

Environment Canada says visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero.

Conditions will begin to improve as the morning goes on.
