The Graco My Ride 65 Car Seat is being recalled due to safety issues with their restraint system.

The 1393 affected units were manufactured between May 14, 2014 and July 30 2014. The model numbers are 1910553, 1910552, and 1910395.

According to the explanation on the Government of Canada recall webpage, "the webbing of the affected infant child restraints do not conform to the breaking strength requirements indicated in the Motor Vehicle Restraint Systems and Booster Seats Safety Regulations."

If the breaking strength requirements are not met, then in a serious motor vehicle accident the harness webbing could break.

Graco is notifying the customers who may have been impacted and is giving replacement kits for free.

If you are a non-registered owner of an affected Graco My Ride 65 Car Seat or you have moved, you can contact Graco by email or phone in order to receive a replacement harness. Do not return the seat to the retailer or the company.
