Travis Hamonic has agreed to a one-year contract with the Vancouver Canucks worth $1.25 million dollars.

Hamonic had signed a professional tryout contract with the Canucks on January 3.

The 30-year-old from St. Malo spent the past three seasons with the Calgary Flames where he scored 11 goals and 42 points in 193 games.

Hamonic was selected in the second round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders.

He spent seven years with the Islanders before being traded to Calgary on June 24, 2017.

The Canucks open the 2020-21 NHL season Wednesday night against the Oilers in Edmonton.
