A number of highways are already closed in the province, and the RCMP is asking motorists to use caution on open highways as a winter storm moves in.
High wind and snowfall has severely reduced visibility in Westman where all the highway closures are as of 6:45 p.m.
The Yellowhead Highway is closed from the Saskatchewan border to Minnedosa, and Highway 10 is closed from Minnedosa to Clear Lake. There are a number of other highway closures as well. You can find current conditions at the Manitoba 511 information page.
"Please slow down and drive safe," Manitoba RCMP says in a tweet.

A low-pressure system moving into Manitoba is expected to continue to make highway travel difficult in the province as it continues to move east.
A number of winter storm warnings and blizzard warnings are in place. Environment Canada has warned that near-zero visibility should be expected in the southern Red River Valley and southeastern Manitoba overnight.
