After the success of their September event, Snippets of Love is putting on another free haircut event for our city's less fortunate.

Snippets of Love creates events and organizes small acts of love throughout Manitoba. On Sunday, March 19, they will be hosting homeless people in our city and giving them free haircuts. Snippets of Love ran this event back in September and had over 70 people come out and get a trim.

"It was amazing," said BrendaLee, the organizer of Snippets of Love, about last year's event. "We were so blessed to have them sit at the stations and talk and share their stories with us."

BrendaLee says they already have 11 sylists, though there are slots for two more who want to volunteer from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The haircuts will take place in the downtown area at Lighthouse Mission.

"I used to have this amazing feeling after I got a haircut," BrendaLee said. "I want people who are less fortunate to have that feeling."

Snippets of Love is working on a project right now called 'The Plastic Mat'. They are turning plastic shopping bags into mats that homeless people can use to stay off the ground when it's wet.
