Everyone is safe after an early morning fire in Winnipeg's North End. 

Fire crews were called to a house fire at 2 a.m. Friday in the 900 block of Manitoba Avenue.

The fire spread to the neighbouring homes on each side. Both of those homes suffered extensive damage.

The homes on either side were occupied by residents and everyone was able to evacuate safely.

A Winnipeg Fire Paramedic news release said that the fire in all three structures was declared under control at 3:37 a.m.

The middle home, which was under construction. collapsed due to fire damage. The other two homes involved in the blaze suffered very significant fire damage, both with collapsed roofs due to fire in the attics.
