The City of Winnipeg introduced reverse angled parking today. Here are the first thoughts from Winnipeggers.

Angled parking was introduced today on a section of Bannatyne. The City of Winnipeg pilot project is hoping to bring more parking to the Exchange District. The project also made Bannatyne a one-way street between Rorie Street and Waterfront Drive, going westbound.

"If it's offering opportunity to attract more people by offering more space, I think that's postitive," said Brenna Mahoney, one of the angled parking users today.

Mahoney thinks it may offer a challenge on a one-way in downtown Winnipeg, but thinks there must be obvious benefits.

"It creates a lot more room for people to park," said another parking user Shea. "It frees up space for people working, they don't have to drive around for 20 minutes to find a new spot.
