The Winnipeg Jets home ice losing streak has reached five games.

William Nylander had two goals and an assist as the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated Winnipeg 6-3 Thursday night at Bell MTS Place.

Kasperi Kapanen, Travis Dermott, Pierre Engvall and Mitch Marner also scored for the Maple Leafs who received a 45-save performance from Frederik Andersen.

Nylander has eight goals and five assists in his last eight games.

The Leafs are 10-1-1 in their past 12 games.

Kyle Connor, Mark Scheifele and Patrik Laine replied for the Jets who haven't won at home since beating the Philadelphia Flyers 7-3 back on December 15th.

Connor Hellebuyck gave up five goals on 17 shots through two periods and was replaced by Laurent Brossoit who made 10 saves in the final frame.

Winnipeg reached the midway point of the season with a record of 22-16-3.

The Jets begin a four-game road trip Saturday afternoon against the Minnesota Wild.
