Many people can relate to Josh Wilson's new single about facing fear and anxiety over the past two years.

"My new single is out today! It’s called 'Things That I’m Afraid Of,' and it’s all about mental health and my struggle with anxiety and depression," says Wilson on Facebook the day of the release.

Wilson hasn't released a full-length album since his 2015 That Was Then, This Is Now albumHe did release an EP in 2021 titled Remember.

"These last two years have been very difficult for so many of us. I used to think that being a Christian meant that life should be easy, but Jesus himself said, “In this world, you will have troubles.” Sounds pretty discouraging until you read the next part, where he says “but take heart, for I have overcome this world” (John 16:33)."

The pandemic took a toll on Wilson's mental health and this single shows that he's not afraid to talk about it coupled with his faith.

"We’re all fighting a hard battle. If you’re facing addiction, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, or any other mental health struggle, you’re not alone. Whatever you’re going through, whatever you’re struggling with, Jesus promises he will never leave or forsake you."

Wilson ended his post saying he's excited to see fans on the road this year with a few dates already planned across the U.S.
