Part of a busy Winnipeg Street remains closed early Thursday morning following an officer-involved shooting.
Lagimodiere Boulevard is closed in both directions from Fermor Avenue to East Mint Place. Fermor Avenue is open to traffic once again.
Over a dozen emergency vehicles responded to the area Wednesday evening. The Winnipeg Police Service later confirmed that police were involved in a shooting.
Several vehicles involved in the incident remain at the scene, including three police vehicles.
The investigation is ongoing, and the Winnipeg Police Service says they expect the road to remain closed until at least Thursday afternoon.
