A recent Adult and Teen Challenge graduate say he wants to make others feel "loved and accepted" after being appointed Lighthouse Mission's Spiritual Caregiver.

Before entering Adult and Teen Challenge, Donald Froese was using and selling meth and had spent time in Stoney Mountain Penitentiary. Today he is working with Adult and teen Challenge as Lighthouse Mission's Spiritual Caregiver.

Froese's new role will meet people "where they are at" and work to show people love through his ministry.

"There is nothing greater than establishing the connection with the Almighty because He created us for face to face intimate relationships," Froese says. "People just need to know that He is real."

Froese will be talking and praying with the people that have walked through the doors of Lighthouse Mission with his new title. He adds that love is "a basic need for all people" and hopes he can meet people

Beverley Ajtay, Operations Manager at Lighthouse Mission, says that Froese will have an advantage speaking with people because he understands what they are going through.

"It can be difficult for someone who has not walked that road before," Ajtay says about ministering to the community. "Donald has walked that road... he knows the hope that comes in Christ and that God is just waiting to show His love."

Froese's work as Lighthouse Mission's Spiritual Caregiver began on Monday. He says that he has been asking God to "draw" people in need of the ministry to him.

We are excited to welcome Donald F. to our team here at Lighthouse Mission to provide spiritual care and direct ministry...
