A Christian artist, known for her viral spoken word poetry videos is encouraging listeners to give everything to God through her debut music album.

Janette...ikz (pronounced genetics), is known for her poetry performance of one of her pieces, “I Will Wait For You” on YouTube. That poem and other videos launched her career with almost 50 million views online.

At the end of December, pursued an alternate artistic route than her fans are used to. She released an album titled Not My Own. Janette...ikz shared with fans in a video that, "it's taken approximately four years to get to this point," the point where she felt she could release the music.

The artist had a difficult upbringing. From a young age, she had to overcome sexual, physical, and verbal abuse. Despite those hardships, which she states on her website was a "brilliant storm" she continues to use the talents God has given her to bring people to Him.

Her song 'All of Me' reminds listeners to continually give all that they are to God. Through orchestral instrumentality, it mentions overcoming temptation and focusing on Him. She says, "we can be free, no longer enslaved, no longer in chains."

She sings out the words "all I have is this life that you gave me and it's yours, yours, yours..."

Janette...ikz says, "I wouldn't give anything to you that wasn't the supreme quality I could give."

"I've had a lot of ups and downs through this album," she says in the album announcement video. The poet turned singer believes this is the proudest she has ever felt about her work and she hopes that it will encourage others. "It means a lot to me."
