Winnipeg Police have had to close down a major road into Investor's Group Field as a result of a young moose roaming the area.

Winnipeg Police say that they've had to close down Chancellor Matheson at Pembina Highway while the moose is sought. That means that University Crescent in the only way in for 33,000-plus fans making their way to the sold-out Banjo Bowl.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.

Department of Sustainable Development officers were able to safely immobilize the moose shortly after 3:00 p.m.
