World's largest truck convoy is rolling

There are more than a few semis making their way around the Perimeter Highway this morning and early afternoon.

The 2017 World's Largest Truck Convey got underway at 11:00 a.m. on the south perimeter at Oak Bluff. The convoy will make an entire loop of the Perimeter Highway.

Truckers from across Manitoba are making the trek to support Special Olympics. Law enforcement has also joined them to lead and support them.

Drivers are reporting delays on the Perimeter Highway as a result.

It's the 10th annual event, meant not just to raise funds for Special Olympics, but also hopes to help change attitudes about people with intellectual disabilities.
