Aimee Powell remains in hospital after being rushed to hospital early Saturday morning.

The wife of Christian rock band Third Day's lead singer, Mac Powell, was taken yesterday to hospital with a severe headache, according to an online post.

"Y’all please pray for my love, Aimee!," Mac wrote Saturday in a post to his Facebook page, Mac Powell and the Family Reunion.

"Early this morning her head was hurting terribly. I called 911 and the ambulance took her to a local hospital. After a CT scan they found bleeding on her brain and believe it is an aneurysm. She is going through a procedure right now to find the problem."

Mac has continued to post updates online, asking followers to pray. He says the doctors seem optimistic about his wife's condition.

"So many have asked for an update on my wife Aimee. Forgive me for not knowing all the right medical stuff," he wrote.

Mac says Aimee underwent a procedure during which two coils were implanted in her head to keep the aneurysm from bleeding and potentially rupturing.

He says his wife is in for a long and painful time ahead.

"Her head is hurting really bad. She’ll be kept for many days to be tested and monitored," Mac says.

"Thankful for many friends, family, and prayers!"

Continue to keep Mac and Aimee in your prayers as Aimee continues to recover.
