Police have one suspect in custody after a man entered the Misericordia Health Centre late last night suffering from a gunshot wound.

On April 8, 2020, at approximately 11:50 p.m., members of the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound who had arrived at the doors of Misericordia Health Centre. Officers located the victim, and he was treated by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, who then transported him to the Health Sciences Centre. The victim is currently listed in stable condition. 

An investigation by Central Division General Patrol officers has lead to the arrest of an adult male suspect. The suspect is in police custody; however, no charges have been laid at this time.
