The high school in Neepawa is receiving significant funding to expand its current facilities and including younger grades.

The $16.4 million investment from the province of Manitoba will add a new library, a middle-years wing for grades five to eight, and a new gymnasium to Neepawa Area Collegiate.

“The newly enlarged and renovated facility will provide quality, sustainably designed and inspirational classrooms and other facilities for students in Neepawa and its surrounding area for many years to come,” Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen says in a statement.

A community daycare with 74 spots is also being included in the expansion.
