Finance Minister Scott Fielding is being refused the opportunity to read the 2020-2021 fiscal plan for Manitobans.

The NDP claims that the new budget will "harmful to legislation" in a media release and adds they will not allow the budget to be read or considered by legislation.

"This is an abuse of parliamentary privilege and is very disrespectful to the guests and media who have come to the legislature for the presentation of Budget 2020," the province says in a statement.

The PC government also adds that if the bill is not able to be considered today, they will bring it forward for consideration tomorrow in legislation.
