The province's five-day test positivity rate has jumped, reaching a high not seen since the summer.

On Tuesday the province is confirming 185 new COVID-19 cases. Out of the new cases 103 people are not vaccinated, eight are partially vaccinated, and 74 are fully vaccinated.

Manitoba's five-day test rate is six per cent. It has not been in this percentage range since late June when Manitoba was seeing new case numbers that were less than half of what it is now.

New cases by heath region include:

  • 74 in Southern
  • 66 in Winnipeg
  • 21 in Northern
  • 17 in Interlake-Eastern
  • seven in Prairie Mountain

 

There are a total of 64,878 cases in Manitoba, with 1,438 active cases and 62,174 recoveries.

The province says four more people have died since Monday, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,266 people.

Hospitalizations

There are 138 people in the hospital because of COVID-19, including 109 active cases. Five of those active cases are people who are partially vaccinated, 45 people are fully vaccinated, and 59 people are not vaccinated.

There are 28 people in intensive care because of COVID-19, including 21 active cases. All but two people with active cases are not vaccainted, and the other two are fully vaccinated.
