Less than one hundred people are in the hospital due to COVID-19.

As of Friday morning, there are 29 new COVID-19 cases in Manitoba.

This includes:

  • 15 new cases in the Interlake-Eastern health region
  • 10 new cases in Winnipeg
  • three new cases in the Southern Health Sante Sud health region
  • one new case in the Prairie Mountain health region
  • no new cases in the Northern health region

Manitoba's five-day test positivity rate is 1.9 per cent. 

In hospital, there are 93 people, with 33 of those people having active COVID-19 cases. There are 15 people in intensive care with four of those people having active cases of the virus.

There are no new deaths, leaving the total number of people who died at 1,184.

The total number of cases in Manitoba is 57,764 with 56,042 recoveries. There are 538 active cases.

 

Vaccinations

More than 1.8 million doses of vaccine have been administered. In Manitobans aged 12 or older, 80.3 per cent have received their first vaccine dose, and 72.4 per cent their second dose.
