At 4:02 p.m. on February 1, the RCMP notified the media that the missing girl has been found.

The RCMP greatly appreciate the public and media for their assistance.

Gypsumville RCMP is asking the public for help in locating a missing girl from Little Saskatchewan that is believed to be in Winnipeg. 

A 12-year-old of Little Saskatchewan First Nation was last seen leaving her residence in the community at approximately 11:00 p.m. on January 23rd, 2023.

Officers and her family have been actively looking for her since she was reported missing, but have not been able to locate her.

Shorting is described as 5’3” tall, 100 pounds, with long brown hair and hazel eyes.

RCMP continues to search for Shorting, 12, of Little Saskatchewan First Nation, who was last seen on January 23, 2023. The investigation has determined that Shorting could be in the Polo Park area of Winnipeg in the company of an unknown male youth.

Shorting has not been active on social media since January 28, 2023.
