The farmers and gardens got their rain, and now the rest of us will have an "all around a pretty nice weekend."

That's according to Environment Canada meteorologist Brad Vrolijk.

While the weekend might start with some rain on Friday, Vrolijk doesn't expect it to put a damper on the weekend.

"It's a slight chance of rain," Vrolijk says for Friday afternoon. "We're expecting some scattered showers and thundershowers to popup and move from northwest to southeast this afternoon. And there's a chance late in the afternoon or evening hours that Winnipeg might get clipped by a thundershower or two, but we're not expecting anything too bad today."

As for the rest of the weekend, things are looking good if you're hoping to spend it outside.

"Saturday is looking pretty pleasant all around." We can expect quite a few clouds and highs in the mid-twenties. And those clouds aren't expected to bring any precipitation.

"On Sunday it's going to be a little bit warmer, but we should see some clouds moving in too."
