According to new research, roughly half of today's teenagers feel positively about Jesus.

A report from Barna Group out of California asked questions about the Bible and faith to teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19 from 26 different countries.

"Data show it’s rare that teens think poorly of Jesus," reads the report. "Most teenagers around the world have a positive perception of Him. About half of all teens, across faith groups, describe Jesus as ‘loving’ (49%) and believe He offers hope to (46%) and cares about people (43%)."

The study asked the same questions to 25,000 teenagers who collectively spoke 17 different languages.

Less than 10 per cent of the teens thought Jesus was judgemental, irrelevant, or hypocritical.

Another aspect of the survey asked the audience if they were Bible-engaged (read the Bible regularly), Bible-open (read the Bible 3-4 times a year), or Bible-unengaged (don't read the Bible).

Roughly 80 per cent of the group that regularly read the Bible felt that it helped people live meaningful lives, helped people find their purpose, and live wisely. Over 20 per cent of the Bible-unengaged group felt the same way, even though don't engage in reading it.
