Setup is underway as the world's largest touring show prepares for its stop in Winnipeg.

The big top was raised this week on the corner of Kenaston Boulevard and Wilkes Avenue which will host Odysseo, a show combining equestrian and acrobatic performances.

The tent is the largest of its kind in the world, at 107 x 128 metres, sits on 20,000 tons of rock surface and will host a man-made mountain made from 5,000 tons of dirt.

Odysseo begins its Winnipeg performances on September 10, and is expected to have an extended run into October.
