This Saturday will be your last chance to catch ONE Worship Night (for now).

Richard Hale, leader and organizer of ONE Worship Night, says that the monthly worship nights will be drawing to a temporary close following one last event on Saturday.

"We are pressing pause on ONE Worship Night," said Hale, who explained that the choice to use the word 'pause' was an intentional one.

"Instead of saying we're stopping it... we're pressing pause because that has a very different meaning to people. It [lets] people know that we're going to be pausing for a little bit and then we'll be starting back up at some point. We as a leadership team felt that at this point it was the right thing to do."

While Hale says they don't know exactly yet when they will be starting up again, he does know that when ONE Worship returns, it will be stronger than ever.

Hale says ONE Worship is something that they "definitely" want to continue, with the decision to take a break made by the ONE Worship team to recheck the vision of their ministry.

"We have a big vision for ONE Worship Night, and sometimes when you're doing something good it's hard to stop it, but when you're not realizing your vision fully, you sometimes have to take a step back and see where you can do things better... and really see your vision come to pass."

This month's ONE Worship Night will mark the two-year anniversary since Hale and his team first began the regular worship nights.

Looking back over the past two years, Hale says there are definite highlights that come to mind from past ONE Worship experiences.

"We've heard testimonies of people growing in their walk with the Lord, people being strengthened and encouraged. People coming to faith, making their first-time decisions at ONE Worship Night which has been awesome. Our partnership with World Vision and what we've been doing in Columbia has been amazing and just making a difference in the lives of children down there."

Hale also alluded to future plans to come for ONE Worship Ministries. Other hopes for future ministry possibilities are currently in the works as well, says Hale, including more hands-on mentoring with various worship leaders and musicians in Winnipeg, as well as education and mentorship programs. "Bringing people together one night a month is great, but that's only part of what we would like to do in the city."

ONE Worship Night will return once again this Saturday and will be a night to give thanks for what the Lord has done thus far though ONE Worship, as well as a time of recognition for the entire ONE Worship team.

"We definitely love ONE Worship Night and all the people who have come and supported it. We've made so many good friends over these last two years," shared Hale.

ONE Worship Night will be held on February 23, 2019, at Calvary Temple (440 Hargrave St.). Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for the evening, with worship beginning at 7:00 p.m.
