A police search yielded over $30,000 in seizures for authorities Thursday.

The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) Guns and Gangs Unit was mobilized on the afternoon of August 15 to execute a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Criminal Code search warrant.

Around 1:50 p.m., members of the unit executed the warrants at a residence located in the 100 block of Hofsted Drive.

A search of the residence resulted in multiple seizures, including 13 ounces of cocaine (a street value of $26,000), 374 grams of edible marijuana product, and $5,000 cash. 2.8 kilograms of a cutting agent, a safe, and other various packing materials were also found and seized by police.

Two individuals were taken into custody. A 32-year-old male was charged with Possession of a Scheduled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking for cocaine,and  Cocaine and Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000.

The man was released on a promise to appear. An adult female, who was also taken into custody, was released with no charges.
