The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is recalling a packaged salad due to possible Listeria contamination.

The recall affects the 156 gram Eat Smart Sweet Kale Salad Shake Ups with a best before date of December 3, 2018.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk.

There have been no reported illnesses in connection to this recall.

Anyone with this product in their home is encouraged to either throw it out or return it to the store where it was purchased.
