A man is dead and RCMP in western Manitoba are investigating it as a homicide.

Roblin RCMP were called around 5:10 Saturday morning to a report of an unresponsive male within the town.

Officers found the man unresponsive with serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Officers with Major Crime Services and Forensic Identification Services are on scene and assisting with the homicide investigation.

RCMP have not released any other information at this time.

Roblin is approximately 320 km northwest of Winnipeg, near the Saskatchewan border.
