The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for help following a homicide Saturday afternoon in the West End.

The WPS says in a release that emergency personnel responded to the report of an injured female at a residential building in the 500 block of Balmoral Street. The call came in around 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

Police say they found a deceased female in the home when they arrived.

This investigation is continuing by members of the Homicide Unit. Anyone with information that may assist investigators is asked to call 204.986.6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).

The WPS has not released any other information at this time.
