One person is in custody after Winnipeg police shut down a part of the Exchange District on Wednesday evening and brought in their armoured vehicle.
The Winnipeg Police Service says that the man was a suspect in an on-going firearms investigation. Police wouldn't say which investigation, however.
The Tactical Support Team was on-scene at a business in the 200 block of McDermot Avenue.

McDermot Avenue was closed off between King Street and Arthur Street as police conducted the operation.
The WPS released little else in regards to information. Const. Jay Murray says he expects more information to be released Thursday morning.
Police had cleared the area before 7 p.m.
